Albert Greenwood died from unspecified causes on 19th March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast but it is not known if he died from wounds or from illness, both of which took their toll of the men on the Western Front. During March, 1915, the 1st Cornwall Light Infantry battalion of 14th Brigade, 5th Division had been holding the line near Messines in Belgium. |
